SUMMER FEAST 2011

SUMMER FEAST

2011 marks the 7th year of the annual Summer Feast and Auction, taking place Saturday 12th June 2011 in Brockwell Park.

Each year outdoes the last and a key part is the live Auction and Raffle after the 3-course lunch. Gifts and services are donated by local traders, community groups and individuals, and their generosity is greatly appreciated in raising even more funds for events in the Park.

The food on the day is Slow Food with local people, in beautiful surroundings of Brockwell Park – what more could you ask for? Just about all of the food is grown organically and as locally as possible. For drinks, we have a selection of home-made fresh lemonade and Ossie's ginger; also farmhouse apples juices, cider, perry, or just BYO.

The list of prizes for the auction and raffle is growing daily, ranging from meal and gig tickets, to leisure tokens and other local services and products - even an apple tree... Tickets for the Summer Feast & Auction are priced according to income, from £6-£20; kids tickets also available from £3-10.

You can purchase tickets via Paypal here:

Have a look at the menu and prize li st for the feast in 2009 here.

With 150 guests in 2009 we recieved some fantastic feedback. Our favourate is from a new convert to the summer feast:

"A fantastic event and we loved the food, five stars * * * * *, big congratulations to the chef(s) we were a group of 6 adults and 2 kids and had such a relaxing time, the kids had a ball playing with the hose and we just were bowled over by the food, with the added ecological luxury of real plates and cutlery... well done to all and we will be coming back next year!!"
