THE SOCIAL JUSTICE ZONE

The Social Justice Zone will again highlight and discuss the wider social justice issues permeating our unequal society. As ever, there will be a plethora of campaign stalls showing the wonderful diversity of contemporary activism. The speaker's tent is the centre-piece once again, with a wide variety of speakers discussing issues in great depth, including:

11pm: Radical Poetry (tbc)

12pm: Panel debate on Policing Protest: with speakers from Liberty, MPS, MPA, IPCC and Climate Camp

1pm: Paul Mobbs: NETCU, WECTU and NPOIU - Britain's Secretive Police Force

2pm: No Borders and Campaign Against Immigration Controls

3pm: Mark Thomas

4pm: Rising Tide:
on why climate change is not an environmental problem and what's really at stake in Copenhagen

5pm: Remembering Olive Morris Collective:
a short history of local activism in Brixton

6pm: Communities of Resistance:
on government prison expansion plans and how prisons harm our communities

Come and see how these issues are interlinked in a vast web of social and societal injustice, and discover what regular Londoners can and are doing about it.
