THE SOCIAL JUSTICE ZONE

This dynamic zone will be a hub of media, advice and action.

Solar Powered Cinema returns, showing a range of features and shorts from independent and activist filmmakers on topics ranging from climate change, globalisation and civil liberties to community news and worldwide and local justice campaigns. Films this year include A Crude Awakening, SOCPA and The Shock Doctrine Short Film.

Feed your mind in the Speaker’s Tent. This year features Jeremy Leggett on the New Green Deal, Nafeez Ahmed on The War on Terror and David Fleming on Tradable Energy Quotas.

A variety of campaign groups including War on Want (WOW), World Development Movement (WDM) and Plane Stupid will talk on issues such as Global Europe and Threats to Activism.

Environmentally interesting and politically challenging stalls will surround the zone, offering advice, support and gathering supporters.
