MISSION STATEMENT
The Urban Green Fair is a Community Interest Company (CIC), providing a simple step to a sustainable future. Our aims are principally to organise an outdoor ‘festival’, through which we:
- Empower, educate and enthuse people regarding current environmental issues, by effective and positive communication.
- Present environmentally-focussed products, businesses, practises and information.
- Engage with diverse local communities, before, during and after the event.
- Provide a uniquely family-friendly learning environment, not diluted by alcohol or loud music.

COMMUNITY INTEREST COMPANY
CICs are a new form of organisation started in 2005. They function solely to benefit the community, and any assets are locked in to the company, not the directors.
CICs are recognised as charitable by funding bodies but are not required to have a layer of trustees. For more information visit the CIC regulator's website.
THE STEERING COMPANY
The organising committee comprises of individuals with a diverse skill set coming from a variety of backgrounds and experience – including event production and marketing, urban transport, permaculture and politics - as well as all being seasoned environmental professionals. We work with the local authorities, security and entertainment providers, community groups and NGOs, and are supported by a diverse range of businesses and individuals.
